Joint Reminder on Service Adjustments on Thomson-East Coast Line
to Facilitate Rail Expansion Works
1 Commuters are reminded of the upcoming service adjustments on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) to facilitate the integrated testing of systems in TEL stages 1 to 4, in preparation for TEL stage 4 next year.
2 From 3 November 2023 to 28 January 2024, services on the TEL will commence later at 8.00am on Saturdays and Sundays and end earlier at 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, with the exception of the eve of Deepavali (11 November), which will not have an early closure and on Deepavali (12 November) which will not have a late start to TEL services.
3 Commuters affected by the late opening at 8.00am can use the two provided shuttle bus services: Service 51 plying between Woodlands North and Caldecott stations, and Service 52 between Caldecott and Outram Park stations. Both shuttle bus services will operate at intervals of about 5 to 10 minutes. Please refer to SMRT’s social media pages for more information on the first bus timings for these shuttle bus services.

4 Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance. They can also refer to LTA’s MyTransport.SG mobile app and LTA’s and SMRT’s social media platforms for more details. Station staff will also be deployed to render assistance at affected stations during the service adjustment period.
