- From 24 May to 8 August 2021, train services on Stage 1 of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL 1) from Woodlands North to Woodlands South will start later at 6.30am and end at 9.00pm daily.
- The additional engineering hours will be used to continue testing of the integrated systems and trains in preparation for the opening of Stage 2 of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL2).
Alternative Travel Arrangements
- Commuters may use existing public bus services 169, 856 and 901/M to travel within the vicinity of Woodlands. They may also use these bus services to the North-South Line at Woodlands Station to continue their travel on the rail network.
- The timing of the first and last trains departing from each station during the planned closures will vary. Commuters are advised to check the departure times at the affected stations or on SMRT Trains’ website and social media platforms to better plan their journeys ahead of time. SMRT will keep commuters updated on changes in train operation hours and alternative transport arrangements on SMRT Trains’ website (www.smrttrains.com.sg) as well as through SMRT’s Facebook page, Twitter feed and the SMRTConnect app.
