President, Engineering and Group Chief Data & Digital Transformation Officer
Mr Tan Peng Kuan is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for all matters pertaining to raising and sustaining data, digital, technology and engineering capabilities, training and development, as well as procurement. He also leads the efforts to build a cohesive Data & Digital community within SMRT Group. Mr Tan was the President, Strides Mobility Solutions before his appointment as President, Engineering and Group Chief Data & Digital Transformation Officer.
Mr Tan was with ST Engineering for five years prior to joining SMRT. During his tenure, he held several key leadership appointments in local and international commercial businesses. Prior to ST Engineering, he was with MINDEF and SAF for 27 years where he held several Command and Staff appointments which gave him valuable experience in supply chain management, maintenance and engineering, and transportation.
Mr Tan holds a Master of Engineering in Logistics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as a Bachelor of Science (1st Class Honours) from Imperial College of Science and Technology.
